Introduction

The Electchester VHF Club, Inc. is an Amateur ( 'ham') Radio organization. It operates a restricted access VHF repeater coordinated by the Tri-State Amateur Repeater Council (TSARC) at the frequency pair 147.09/69. The transmitter transmits at 147.09 MHz. The receiver listens at 147.69 MHz. The repeater (machine) is accessed by use of either a 'sub-audible' analog tone (APL) or a 'sub-audible' digital code (DPL) that is transmitted along with speech from properly equipped radios. Normally, the machine is set up to accept either APL or DPL for full access to all functions. During periods of interference, at the discretion of the control operators, access may be limited to DPL-only for security. At night, access is DPL only from 11 PM to 6 AM.

We are located in Flushing, Queens, New York and have coverage throughout the five boroughs of New York City, Westchester county, Western Long Island, parts of New Jersey, and parts of Connecticut.
